47. Florinda Tolar BROWN

1880 census shows both Florinda's parents born in Ireland.
We had Florinda death 1875.  She appears in 1870 and 1880 census as Lorinda Porter with enough family to document that it's her.
1880 census marks "cannot write."

Most records show her as Lorinda. One census 1850 as Florinda.

Dec. 9, 1850 Porter and Rogers families were neighbors Feb. 20, 1859 Isaac Rogers died in Sharon, Fayette, Ill.
Sept. 15, 1859 Washington Porter and Lorinda Rogers married
1843-1853 Isaac and Florinda Rogers in Ohio (children born in Ohio during those years).

Everything on Mary Melina Rogers except her name is taken from "The Akers Family" Genealogy and is not verified.  They have her name as Mary Melissa Rogers.  They have Isaac Rogers, her father, being born in Vermont (we have Pennsylvania).etc.  Need to verify this info.  They have her death date as Aug.
28, 1833, which is before her birth date!!

Letter from Seeley Cornwell to daughter Ida, Oct. 31, 1918: "The war is nerley over I hope the boys will com out all rite.  Well my Darling don't werey.  Think of my mother had 3 boys in the army 2 in the union & 1 a reble my older Brother was in the rebel armey he was a Texican rainger we took him a prisner at fort hudson on the 7 July 1863. . ."

Marriage license (Sept. 7, 1860) of Adam Eccles and Sarah Theckstone (James' daughter) lists James as father, a groom, deceased. So died before that.

Is missing from rest of family in 1861 Scotland Census.
